The end of 2025 is near. And the season of unwrapping our online lives — or at least a glimpse of what they looked like over the past year — is well underway. Spotify Wrapped, YouTube Recap and Duolingo's “Year in Review” are among the growing list of music streamers, social media sites and a host of other apps have already started delivering their annual recaps into customers’ inboxes. That gives users a peak at anything from the top songs they had on repeat and the videos they streamed the most, to online language-learning or everyday tips they turned to the internet for in 2025. Most can be found in the platform's apps.

NASCAR antitrust trial: Bob Jenkins testifies about $100M loss and 'insulting' charter deal

Front Row Motorsports owner Bob Jenkins has testified in an antitrust case against NASCAR, accusing it of monopolistic practices. Jenkins, a passionate NASCAR fan, claims he's lost $100 million since becoming a team owner. He joined 23XI Racing, owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin, in a lawsuit against NASCAR. They argue the charter agreements are unfair. Jenkins says NASCAR's final offer was insulting and forced owners to sign without negotiation. NASCAR contends it has done nothing wrong and claims the charter system has created significant value. The trial could reshape NASCAR's framework.

Eurovision chiefs face thorny question of whether Israel should take part in the 2026 song contest

Organizers of the Eurovision Song Contest are discussing whether Israel should be allowed to participate next year. The European Broadcasting Union is holding a general assembly as some countries are calling for Israel to be excluded over alleged interference in contest voting and its conduct of the war in Gaza. Experts predict broadcasters won't reach a united position and will most likely decide on their own or in a breakaway group whether to participate. Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain and Slovenia insist Israel shouldn't take part. Germany and Austria are among countries that want Israel included.

Toyota deepens connections in F1 by sponsoring Haas team in 2026

The Haas Formula 1 team will get a new name next season, further showcasing its relationship with Japanese automaker Toyota. The team's new name in 2026 will be TGR Haas F1 Team. The TGR stands for Toyota Gazoo Racing which is the racing division of the Toyota Motor Corporation. The partnership includes primarily research, engineering and driver development. Haas and Toyota entered into the first stages of the technical partnership a year ago and the Haas car has been carrying Toyota’s branding since.

Norris says he won't ask Piastri to move over if needed in F1 title decider

Lando Norris says he won’t ask his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri to give up a place to favor him in the three-way Formula 1 title fight with Max Verstappen at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Norris has a 12-point lead over Verstappen going into Sunday’s race. Piastri is four points further back. If Verstappen is leading it’s possible Piastri could be in a situation where he can’t win the title himself but can aid Norris to get the top-three finish he needs to secure his first world championship. If Verstappen wins on Sunday a top-three finish would be enough for Norris.

Spotify Wrapped 2025 is here and Bad Bunny has dethroned Taylor Swift as most-streamed artist

Spotify Wrapped is here. And Bad Bunny is the platform's most-streamed artist for 2025. That means he has ended Taylor Swift's two-year reign in the top spot. His album “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” was the most streamed album globally. Spotify unveiled its annual overview of individual listening trends as well as trends from around the world on Wednesday. Users can now access their top artists, songs, genres, albums and podcasts, as well as uncover which artists had the biggest year on the platform. There are a few new features on Spotify Wrapped this year. For example, the “Top Albums” feature has returned.

Decades-old palm trees in Rio de Janeiro flower for the first — and only — time

Talipot palms in a Rio de Janeiro park are flowering for the first and only time in their lives. These palms were introduced by landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx in the 1960s. The rare event has been widely reported and has sparked curiosity among visitors to Flamengo Park. The palms, native to southern India and Sri Lanka, can reach up to 30 meters and produce millions of flowers. Biologist Aline Saavedra notes that the interest in this phenomenon could inspire environmental preservation.
